Low pressure in one sprinkler zone points to a local zone issue, not usually the whole irrigation system.
One sprinkler zone usually has low pressure because of a broken pipe, leaking fitting, clogged nozzles, a valve that is not opening fully, too many heads on the zone, or a partially blocked line. If other zones have normal pressure, focus on that zone's valve, piping, and heads.
A cracked lateral line can lower pressure and create soggy ground, bubbling water, or unusually green patches.
Dirt from repairs, spring startup, or old piping can clog nozzles and reduce spray distance.
A weak solenoid, debris, or internal valve issue can restrict flow to the whole zone.
If the zone was modified, added heads may demand more water than the system can supply.
A pressure problem should be diagnosed by pattern. If every head on the zone is weak, start at the valve and supply side. If only the last few heads are weak, look for a pipe break, blockage, or design imbalance.
Toronto properties with renovations often have zones changed over time. New sod, planting beds, drip lines, or added heads can quietly overload an existing zone.
That usually means the issue is local to that zone's valve, pipe, or heads.
Yes. A broken lateral line is one of the most common causes.
They reduce spray output and can make the zone look weak.
Usually no. Adding heads can make low pressure worse.
