Garage Controller Access for Sprinkler Winter Closing
Garage controller access is easy to overlook when booking a sprinkler closing. Make sure the unit is reachable and that someone can provide entry during the agreed appointment window.
Prepare the garage controller access route
Move ordinary stored items that block the controller, as long as you can do so safely. Leave labels readable and give the technician room to work. You do not need to remove wiring or open electrical covers. If a permanent obstruction prevents access, tell the office beforehand.
Agree on entry and timing
If someone must return from work to open the garage, discuss that before accepting a slot. A note asking the technician to wait does not reserve extra time. Use an agreed entry method and share any access details only with the people who need them for the visit.
Check where the other equipment is
The controller may be in the garage while supply equipment is in a basement or shed. Confirm that the same contact can provide access to both. After service, ask about anything that could not be reached so the final notes accurately show what was completed.
